LA Derks is a young, talented Scottish artist based in Larbert, Scotland. Living in an industrial town has reinforced the fascination with elements such as rain, sleet, snow and mist which give rise to the ethereal quality that plays on the light in her paintings..

"All my work is based on places I have visited over the last few years. My aim is to produce work that allows the viewer to experience their own version of the subtleties of movement, light and sound that I experience when producing the work."

Having been introduced to this young artist through Scotlandart.com we jumped at the chance to design a portfolio website for her as we immediately fell in love with her work and were also able to facilitate the process for her.

Her website makes use of flash resulting in a slick and stylish site whilst also being incredibly simple to navigate around and user friendly. Since meeting LA Derks her website has already gone through two redesigns as we continue forging our working relationship.
