SEDA is a membership based organisation that includes academics, architects, artists, builders, planners, students, ecologists, landscape designers, materials suppliers, woodworkers, and many more whose work or interest is concerned with design for a sustainable future.

SEDA required a redesign of their existing website. The primary role of the site was to enhance the involvement of its members with the site, promote events and news and showcase members' work.

SEDA requested a clean and elegant solution harnessing complex functionality that would include a searchable directory of members with enhanced listings. The enhanced listings would in turn showcase members' work through individual personal pages.

The website also houses a directory of current and past events alongside the latest industry news and announcements. There is also the compiling of information for a Green Building Database within the website to give visitors and members of the wider public the opportunity to see the variety and range of green building projects throughout Scotland.

The design uses Modx as the PHP based content management system. Visually the design is informed by the SEDA logo and corporate colours. The overall aesthetic of the website is one of understated simplicity which is also reflected in the architecture and navigation of the website.
