requirements

The client was looking for a unique approach that would be aimed at a broad target audience of young and old alike; an audience looking for private health care dealing with sports, spinal and occupational injuries.

Following our precedent studies looking at both competitor markets and sports therapy markets in general the design of the logo took a reiterative approach until the client was fully satisfied with the desired design. The original concept derives from trying to illustrate the 'tree of life' concept and thus by doing so focusing on the holistic nature of physiotherapy which the client was keen to convey through the logo. The tree's branches are made up of three lithe, sinuous, intertwined figures signifying well-being and giving an overall organic form to the logo.

The colour scheme chosen is fairly original and steers away from a conventional 'medical' related colour palette. The richness of the purple is matched by the calming brown and the palette chosen is careful not to be too gender specific.

There is also versatility in the logo as the tree element can be used independently from the logotype as a monogram or motif to further reinforce the brand.

solution

The logo has now been successfully incorporated into shop facia and signage and the client is extremely happy with the outcome. The Bodywell brand created is a unique and classic brand that steers clear of falling into the stereotypical image for allied medical professions and this immediately sets it apart from its' competitors.
